Responsibilities
- A varied and challenging role involving assessment of referred patients from all clinical departments across both locations of the Kepler University Hospital.
- Treatment of patients and development of multimodal therapy plans in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Manual and instrument-based diagnostics of the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine.
- Conduct multidisciplinary team meetings with therapy teams for the respective departments.
- Deliver specialist teaching and lectures as a lecturer at the Medical Faculty of Johannes Kepler University (JKU).
- Participate in Sunday and public holiday ward rounds as well as on-call duties in the Clinic for Remobilisation and Aftercare, approximately once per month.
Requirements
Essential
- Completed specialist training as Fachärztin/Facharzt für Physikalische Medizin und Rehabilitation.
- Foreign applicants must fulfil the requirements of the Austrian Medical Chamber (www.aekooe.at).
- Strong commitment to working responsibly and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of physicians and therapists.
- High level of teamwork, empathy and independence.
- Knowledge of project management and quality management.
- Experience in manual medicine, sports medicine, and computer skills are advantageous.
Desirable
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and scientific research projects.
- Basic knowledge of general medicine and geriatrics, as the institute includes Austria's only directly affiliated 20-bed Department of Remobilisation and Aftercare, providing an expanded and diverse scope of practice.
Salary
- Minimum gross monthly salary: EUR 7,009.40 (Salary Group FA/06) on a full-time basis.
- Salary depends on recognized previous professional experience.
- Additional allowances may apply.
