This position offers specialist training in Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine and Neonatology, consisting of:

• 2 years in Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine.
• 1 year in Neonatology.

Responsibilities

• Perform all specialist medical duties within the scope of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine.
• Provide care for patients in the PICU/PIMCU.
• Deliver interdisciplinary care for pediatric, pediatric surgical, and pediatric cardiology patients.
• Assess and evaluate patients on general pediatric wards, in the emergency department, and in the shock room.
• Participate, if interested, in the development of an interdisciplinary pediatric-neonatal simulation center.
• Participate in night, weekend, and public holiday duties in pediatric services and subsequently in the PICU duty roster.

Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Recognition as a Specialist in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (at the latest by the start of employment).
• Foreign applicants must fulfil the requirements of the Austrian Medical Chamber (www.aekooe.at).
• Strong communication and consultation skills.
• Ability for self-reflection and resilience.
• Commitment to continuing professional education and participation in teaching and research.
• Willingness to undertake specialist night, weekend, and public holiday duties.
• Previous experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine and/or Neonatology, as well as Emergency Medicine and/or Anesthesiology, is desirable.

Salary

• Minimum gross monthly salary: EUR 7,009.40 (Salary Group FA/06) on a full-time basis.
• Salary depends on recognized previous professional experience.
• Additional allowances may apply.
